Boomerang CEO Tells Refresh Miami: ‘Our Work Is Not Done’

We’ve all lost something important to us, and if we are lucky we’ve experienced the joy when we’ve been reunited with the item. It’s why Miami-based Boomerang exists, to reunite people with their items while taking the headache out of managing lost and found articles for hotels, sporting facilities, entertainment venues, and travel hubs.

Boomerang’s co-founder and CEO Skyler Logsdon rattles off valuable or sentimental items that were returned to their owners, thanks to Boomerang’s platform: an e-Bike, a 12-year sobriety coin, an Alabama championship ring, several wedding rings, lots of designer bags, wallets and passports, and even a beloved baby blanket, much to the delight of the crying baby’s mom.

Lost & found isn’t just about returning items but about building trust, Logsdon says. “Every successful reunion turns a frustrating moment into a loyalty-building experience, showing customers that brands genuinely care.”

Consider that Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia calls Boomerang one of the most impactful fan experience upgrades they made in recent years. “We have seen a 40 percent increase in the number of items returned, resulting in greater customer satisfaction,” said Tony Sciulli, Sr. Director of Security & Parking at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, in a statement. “Its implementation has also allowed for a noted reduction in waste produced by the disposal of unreturned items.”
